Let’s talk seats!
What are you guys doing to replace your old warn out seats?
I’d love to put some 4th Gen longhorn seats in my truck. Trouble is I’m not sure they’d fit properly.
Has anyone ever put a captains chair, similar to a semi seat in their truck? Wondering if the frame and slider in a pickup will bolt to a bare seat base.
Thoughts?

4th gen seats will bolt in...back seats require modification in a quadcab. If you pull from a 4th gen mega, they bolt into a 3rd gen mega.

Nice. I only have a standard cab so I don't have to worry about the rear seat.
What about the electronics to are they a direct plug and play? My truck currently has a electric drivers seat and a manual passenger seat.

I haven't gotten that far on mine. I don't think the plugs are the same though.

You still don't have that done? What's it been like 2 years.

4th gen seats are a great upgrade. And yes seats won’t plug in. I cut the harness and connected with male and female spade connectors.

Is that a factory button for the heated seats? I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for the ac on mine.

No. It’s an aftermarket seat heater with switch from leather seats.com

Where'd you find your seats from? And what was the price roughly? My 4th gen could use an upgrade to leather seats!
Also, any info on the heated seat part?

Thanks man! This is exactly what I could like to do with mine. Don’t necessarily need the heat as my truck is only driven in the summer time.
When connecting the electric. Did you have a schematic to find the correct wire cross overs. Or are they just a power and ground?
I second the question asked above. Where did you find them and roughly what did you pay?
Thanks!

Has anyone tried putting newer door panels in their truck?
I love the 4th gen door panels just not sure they’ll work.

Just power and ground from truck then connect to the seat for power functions.
I bought the seats off CL out of a 2018 ram big horn 1500 that was rolled. Side airbags were blown but I wanted leather covers anyways. I bought the front seats, console and rears for $400 bucks. The leather seat cover kit and seat heaters are from leather seats.com. I don’t care for the seat heaters either but gotta keep the wife happy.

When I had 4th gen seats in my 05, they squeezed the bottom molding on the B pillar a decent amount.
Wiring us easy, power and ground. Just use insulated space connectors and tape them up out of harms way. I had to make a mount for the center console but don’t remember why it didn’t 100% fit.
The rear seats require slight modification. And you need rear seats out of a 4th gen with the shorter rear cab to fit in a 3rd gen fit adequate knee room.
Junk yard find from a totaled truck. Cost was around $600 years back.
I’ve sense switched beck to my factory 3rd gen sears after working over the back support with added padding on the sides. I now prefer my 05’s seats.

My dash has cracked. It hasn’t been too bad but it defiantly is starting to spread. I’d love to put a full 4th gen interior in my 3rd gen. My only concern is wiring.
Would really like that center console that extends to the dash.
