Thanks Valair!

So I just had a Valair Quiet Dual Disk installed in my deleted 2015 Ram. You can hardly tell that it's different than stock other than the holding power. Pedal effort is minutely stiffer. Clutch barely rattles. Also replaced the tranny fluid with Delvac 50 and it shifts nice once warm. I warm up the tranny by placing transfer case in neutral and idling the truck in second gear. Bad idea? I live in northern North Dakota so I warm the truck up every time I use it in the winter. Also use Shell Rotella T6 5W40. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.

Actually, the BEST gear to idle in gear like that would be 4th (or 5th in your case, since it's direct), there's no friction or loading on the mainshaft from gear reduction, or overdrive and you have fewer parts in play.
Since the t-case is usually filled with lighter oil (usually ATF), it's not as likely to suffer damage while idling in neutral.

Mark.

Great to hear, hows the gear rollover noise?

Some say its awful without the dual mass, and others say its not bad at all. Whats your opinion?

I know you're not asking me however I'll chime in.
Every g56 truck is different.
Some you won't hear, others are horrid. P

^^^ yep! I've installed probably 10 or so G56 clutches this year. Some were quiet and some had lots of rollover noise, even with Mobil 50.

I get some gear rollover noise bellow 1700 and lugging. But other than that the clutch is doing great. Has 1000 miles on it now and it feels great.
