Can someone tell me what causes P2299

My 2010 has decided to throw a fit this week going down highway. Started off with the cruise control stopped working. Then the throttle would cut out for a second and red electrical light would flash on the dash while it did it. After a while that light stayed on and the service 4wd light came on with it. It didn't turn on the CEL but there was a code P2299 brake pedal position / Accelerator pedal position incompatible.

Can someone tell me what causes this code before I start to randomly replace sensors?

Now that I made it back home the truck seems to be fine most of the time but I have had the throttle kick out one time and the service 4wd light come on once.
