Rockwell 3400 sqhd pretty much same as a 106 but better , old gas pullers are yr best friend

A lot bigger and they have alot of different ratio's.we have a SQHR with planiteries.the R stand for the rear drive axle and the D means the front drive axle on tandems.

The SQHD or R we just always called then SQHD's are allot stronger than a 106. The 106 will give you some bearing support trouble and can still break a ring gear from time to time. The SQ series is what most of your blower 2/s run and multi engine tractors to the component tractors. Go with a SQ and you will never have any trouble.

I agree you verymuch the SQ are the only way to go.
