are the modified 3 and 4 clutch drums good enough as a replacement for a 48re ?

I have a 48re that needs a new direct drum. Not having much luck finding an oem 5 clutch replacement . I don't really want to use a modified 46 or 47 drum unless it's not an issue

It was ran with the front band tightened up all the way. The previous owner's attempt to limp it along with the smarty and 64mm

I have a gpz kit and I selected some thinner frictions - going for 6 in direct

You can probably turn the old drum on a lathe and resurface the band area. What does it look like? Post up a picture.
