07 48 swap & ECU/Tuning Questions

I have a 2007.5 6.7l
Trans is tired, picked up a 48 to start building.
Pickup currently has horrendous EFILIVE tunes on it from unknown source.

I’m definitely going for the Smarty MM3. Been looking at a few different people for tuning, haven’t decided yet.

But, I had a thought come across, would it be a more “streamlined” setup to use an 848 5.9l ECU and tune it for trans and engine, or just stick with 6.7l computer, get the Firepunk controller, be done?

Also, who do we really like for MM3 tuning?
I had these three in mind;
Anarchy
Draconian
Starlite

Why not just flash the 2100 with a manual file and then use an AntEater to control the 48?

My opinion, you're taking a step back by going with an MM3 based tune.

Your selection of tuners will grow significantly going to EFILive and the AntEater is very easy to use as long as you have a Windows laptop/ tablet.

Okay, that’s the sort of information I was looking for.

I’ll stick with this ECM and go with the Anteater.

From the little bit I looked around, EFILIVE hasn’t had any updates for the Cummins platform in awhile and the new Smarty stuff is much more detailed.

Hey man just completed a swap myself and used a firepunk porcupine with the 6.7 ecm flashed to manual. I have a manual valve body but if it was automatic I would use the anteater for sure. Nice kit they put together. 68 Swap No Trans
