What size an?

We use -8 lines but you can use -6. The -8 line will have less restriction and allow the pump to work easier.
 
-8 is what i figured but i wanted to be sure.

-4 or -6 for the return from the pump to the tank?

I'm thinking just a bulkhead 90* in the top of the tank ought to be good enough.
