Extrude honed nozzles not popping

I have a set of nozzles I had extrude honed. These are unit injectors for a Series 60. I had them in a set of injectors they only ran for a few minutes before I had a plunger seize and I'm now working on getting these set up in another set of injectors. When I put the nozzles on my pop tester some of them don't "pop" at all and 2 or 3 of them popped a couple of times then stopped. I am concerned that extrude honing damaged the seats. Is there any chance of lapping the needle to the tip to try to restore the seat? not sure if this is worth trying. I would probably use a syringe to place a little lapping compound right on the seat but not sure if there is a type that would be best
