I appreciate it guys!

We just got back from Florida yesterday and I am happy with the changes. Like anything, I do have things I want to add/change but overall the extra water and larger shower were awesome. The AC unit burnt up, so I am doing some research on those this morning, I need to get one ordered and installed before we go to a race in Amarillo in 4 weeks.

I finished up the extra seat before we left, I will get some pics of that and post them soon. There were 5 of us in here for the last 4 days, and it worked out well. Pulled it about 1600 miles with NO ISSUES!

Good luck with finding an A/C unit right now. Dometic last time we called its was like 2 months backordered. Try to find somewhere online that has them in stock, not "stock" as in shipping from the supplier.

They were shut down during the main part of COVID and are super backed up.

Man, I hope it doesnt take that long. I just ordered a Furrion 15,500btu unit from Etrailer. It says they have them in stock and should be delivered next Monday... we will see.

We were getting ready for bed Sunday night when the AC compressor tried to kick on I heard an arc sound, then a burnt smell... Its an old Dometic unit, so its really not worth trying to fix. I had been considering replacing it but since it worked fine I really didnt have a reason.

Too bad a mini split on the trailer would look to much like hack job. No good way to make that look decent in the outside.

I just talked to Etrailer, everything except the thermostat will ship today so I cancelled it and will just buy one from another vendor.

I got the fancy LED interior vent too. lol

Man, I looked and looked for a good way to do that. Just wouldnt be ideal and I dont think it would handle being bounced down the highway very much. I love the mini-split in my garage.

I have thought about mounting a mini split up in the goose neck right over the bed, then mounting the compressor on some brackets welding to the frame. At least there the truck would take most of the abuse as far as the bouncing goes.

It would not work on trucks with a short box though

Glad you had a great time down here in Florida - I am in Fort Myers and we got more rain that weekend then we did when Hurricane Irma hit 3 yrs ago.

Firepunk has a mini split In The promod trailer and it works great. I need had my unit serviced but still never had success getting it to work in the trailer. Been 4 years now without A/c and I am pretty used to it. Rarely a bad night.

Bringing this thread back from the dead..... as I need it for a reference! lol

I ended up buying a very similar trailer about 3 hrs from me!

the best part is the similar water damage, though it seems to be caused by a bad city water connection!

still not bad for 9k
