You can also order all your Cummins parts needed from the same guy.

More of the 4hr trip. Also I'm gun shy as that'll be the 4th crank I've acquired and clearly my luck with the first three hasn't gone well lol.
Can anyone confirm for me the crank has not changed over the years? I know the pistons have. I believe the rods did but either style can be used.

Need 2 pistons. And have to decide if I'm using the 06 head PR the 03 head.

Update:
Got the crank back today. Bc of heating during grinding process the journals n mains had to be turned 20. Ordering parts this week.
Still trying to figure out if the 03 computer will cause problems running a 06 motor. Or find a 06 computer

Okay. Further update rebuild kit came in yesterday. Ordered from interstate mcbee direct. The pistons look different so I'm waiting to hear back from them about that. Pic. From left to right. 03, 05, interstate provided. Guy building says its prolly a redesign and to just use it. I'm having a hard time figuring out how they can just change the design n it not be affected by the spray pattern. I'm prolly over thinking it

Left is late 12 valve.

Right is 04.5-07 5.9.

Hey mark
Thanks for that. So I had 3 motors pulled apart and when the shop owner moved stuff around things got mixed up. It randomly hit me that I was missing a set of pistons. Of course that set matched.
So the reassembly started but was short lived. The main bearings are nicked. Contacted company to request replacements and will get back to it after that.

Sounds like this "shop" may be in someone's mother's basement to me.

Clean them up with a scotch brite pad.
The way they stack the bearings in the packing causes those marks, nothing to worry about.

Jason, I'm going to go ahead and delete my account. I think something, and you have already posted it.
