Any of you guys ever use Flange Wizard tools?
Worth the cost?

I’m specifically looking at the pipe layout and cutting guides for a side job building a pipe fence. Last time was all free hand, but I’m trying to speed up the process a bit.
I gathered up most of the stuff to build some scribes and a circle burner today, but it is going to end up being heavier than the torch itself.

I looked at the tools on their website. Sure seems like an expensive investment for coping pipe on the side.

What size pipe are you using? Are you just doing 45* & 90* miter’s and butt fits? I drew miter templates in CAD and cut them on a waterjet out of thin galvanize metal. Then rolled them to fit the pipe OD. Works great for your basic pipe fitting.

Yeah, basically. Honestly I usually end up cutting more holes than anything else.
I’ve done the templates on magnetic sheet before, but they don’t last as long as I’d like. Have also done the spring loaded templates most places have for common sizes, but they’re all dedicated to joining the same size pipe.
Maybe I’ll try the metal like you’re talking.

If you have access to CAD or 3D software, it’s simple to make templates. Find a sheet metal shop that can CNC cut them for you. They probably have plenty of 26ga galvanize laying around.

This way you can make the templates that suit your needs specifically.

I have a simple program (tubemiter.exe??) I found on another forum that works well enough for paper, but I guess I would have to find something that I could send them to program their junk.

Most of the fences I do, I just cut holes in the post and cut the rails a bit long so they are inside. Started doing that on barnlots so there isn’t any chance of the rails ever going anywhere. Still cope out top rails, dead man braces, and overheads obviously.

I just can’t bring myself to do them like some people with 2 3/8 posts and sucker rod rails welded to the side. I want to make the guy that tears them down hate me.
