“Moonshiners” TV Star Tim Smith to make an Appearance at the Danville-Boyle County Fa

The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series and the Danville-Boyle County Fair are proud to announce that Tim Smith, one of the stars of the Discovery Channel’s television series, “Moonshiners” will be making an appearance on June 1, 2013, at the Danville-Boyle County Fair, during the BOB Series pull. “People have been talking about this show for the last couple of years, and we look forward to having Tim come out to meet the people and enjoy the BOB Series pull and the Danville-Boyle County Fair,” said Danville-Boyle County Fair President, Ryan Owens. “Tim will be signing autographs, and might even pull a truck.”

Since its debut on the Discovery Channel two years ago, “Moonshiners” has been one of the highest rated reality shows in the nation. The show dramatizes the life moonshiners in the Appalachian Mountains. Tim Smith, one of the stars of the show, is a 3rd generation moonshiner and bootlegger, living in South West Virginia. Tim has been around the moonshine business all his life, with his earliest memories being hiding moonshine on the family farm in Virginia. Tim is now trying to go legal, working to develop his own line of legal moonshine. He is also the Fire Chief of his local Fire Department.
