The Willys finally made it into the 11s!

I posted this in my build thread. It thought hat I would copy it here to get some advice from the professionals.

The WillysTowRig pulled a 11.83 at the street legal drags last night! We ran with a 11.90 dial and kept within .02 of it all night. We did break out on the run on the right but made it to the next round since the other guy red-lighted. I think the willys had him a little worried at the line. Lol

In-cab video of the 11.83 pass. I know I am shifting a little late out of 1st, you can see the boost drop off right before the shift. Shift to 3rd seems like it might be a TAD late? But I don't see the boost drop. And I feel like 4th might be a little early, but maybe not? On top of that, I tested my intercooler pump the other day and it only flows about 6gpm, so I ordered a Rule 3800; and in overdrive specifically I can see about a 200-300rpm flare/slip when I get on it on the freeway. I feel like I still have 1 or 2 tenths that I could pick up...

Good run, defiantly would hurt some feelings on the street. Imagine what the old guy in his corvette that pulled beside you at the traffic light would think. I watched the vid, are you manually shifting It?

Thanks. Haha. Yea. I haven't gotten to pull next to any vettes on the street. A few teenage kids who think their STI is fast though! I haven't even got to line up to a vette at the track. I did really surprise a guy in his 454 Nova though. Our track is low-key enough that everyone is really a good sport. The truck gets a lot of attention and positive compliments. Now I need to put the hood on, get some sponsors so I can go out of town, and really surprise guys when she launches. Lol

I run in "D" to try to stay consistent, even leaving the OD button alone. To adjust shift points I have been vice-gripping the TV cable. If I need to adjust the OD shift then I will probably try rotating the TPS. I'm running V10 governor springs currently and the TV cable is probably set at about 3/4 travel.

Here's an external video of an 11.91 run with 1.74 60ft; we were launching a little harder and running a 1.64 60ft in qualifying.

HAHA. Thanks. I thought it was cleaning up pretty good too. What really surprised me was how many guys have told me that my compounds would never even get close to matching the fuel from the 5x18s... EGTs seem a little high pegging the 1600* gauge (my guess is about 1700*) but now I'm wondering If I should throw a little more fuel at it. My AFC spring is a little long and binds, I think I have about another .03-.05" of travel I could give it.
