48re loosing 2nd gear 2005
I have a built 48re trans has all billet shafts, Suncoast converter etc. Valve body set at 200psi at WOT. What would be the reason why I keep loosing 2nd gear? I have adjusted the band twice now and I get 2nd gear back but its on borrow time.

What band and servo is in it? Have you dropped the VB to see if the strut is bent?

Bent strut, cracked anchor, band coming apart. Who’s band?
Has this happened multiple times?

Just judging by the pics online, Suncoast uses a Raybestos flex band in their rebuild kits. Its a good band, but could be broken in a spot. I switched to a Borg Warner solid band in mine, seems to hold up a little better.
