Maybe there's just no where to put extra clutches.

I know tons of guys with 10 second vr6's that have 02j transmissions.. More aftermarket stuff for them as well

both sides were showing weird numbers.

I'm asking IPT if they can claim that 350hp number behind a tdi. If they say yes, I'm going to ask if they can do a manual vb and maybe a standalone pcm, with a 3000 stall converter, and maybe that will help it live at the power levels I want.

As far as I know, yes.

The 5 speed has many many available parts as well as its way easier to find them to try different gear ratios, final drives, etc

As far as what is stronger in stock form, I know its a 6spd.

But after considering all aftermarket parts available, you're saying the 02J is strongest? Not saying your wrong, because I really don't know, but I thought the general consensus was that the 5spds were just not capable of holding any real power?

I'm sticking with a 5 in my car. Should be around 300hp... Nothing as crazy as yours mike. I just need to find one to build.

Someone makes a VW-to-th400 adapter?!?! Who? Where? How much?

I have a totaled 02 Jetta TDI that I would love stuff in an s10 or Colorado. being able to mate to a 400 would make that very realistic!

I can't find one of those specifically, but I've found a few chevy engine to vw trans adapters. I don't see why they couldn't make it work for a vw engine to a chevy trans. I'll be calling them eventually. I even found a company that makes adapters to bolt some sort of electric motor to a vw trans

I think these guys might actually make one, I need to call them. They have some of the specs for the mkIV platform, which leads me to believe they've done it before.

And quicktime make adatpers, but not to a chevy trans
