"53" block

What is the deal with the "53" block that everybody talks about? Why is is weaker and what years models did it come in?

Most often you see them in the years of 98 to 01 . Both 12 and 24 valve.

im not sure why they are weaker but i do know those thigns just cracked n it didnt matter whether you added power or not

The casting is thinner. Storm blocks are beefed up more in this area
