Just bought a new MC Limited and I hate the mirrors
I have an 07 and I'm used to those mirrors. I absolutely hate the mirrors on my new truck. Is there any way to put the older mirror in the new housing? Or any other suggestions. Otherwise I love the truck, I will have to get used to the new bedsides, but it rides and drives great. I installed a western wide out a spreader, weather tech mats, vent shades a leveling kit and a stryker. I picked up 3mpg with the stryker, or so it says on my dash.

Do they give larger discounts if you buy a short bed dually??

Well yes, yes they do! They actually change by the square ft. Buying an 8ft bed is like buying a big house you can't afford to furnish. It's probably a lot like this truck.

If you've never tried taking any mirrors apart, I don't suggest it.
They are hard to take apart without damage and nearly impossible to put together without the proper tools and fixtures to hold them.
I've never had any success with them at all, short of a "simple" mirror plate swap.

I like long beds myself, but it's a lot easier to turn a mega cab into a long bed than it is to turn a crew cab into a mega cab!!!

I'm not sure you would want to turn this into a long bed. They killed the turning radius on these things.

nah, I don't have a problem with a mega cab short bed. I like long beds, but I've owned both and currently own both. It's not a deal breaker either way, and as stated, you can't get a mega/long from the OEM anyhow, so it's kinda moot
