2014 Laramie 2500

I figured there would be more in this section. Picking up the new truck Monday and driving is 1000 miles home. Time to roll some cole!

I want know what option you have to get for the air ride. Or is that just on cab and chassis?

I wanted to wait for the air ride. Dealer doesn't have a release date so I went for the coil. Rumor from them is the ride is similar. Maybe an update kit from Chrysler in the near future or aftermarket world. I'd like something with adjustable pressure from the cab and a leveling valve.

I have my fingers crossed for something that can put me into the 400-425hp range as well. I'm not sure I'd ever even want a delete. Maybe egr once available. I don't see a problem with a power/mileage increase and a functioning dpf/scr system. Today's tuning seems a mile ahead of 10 years ago.

These new rams are impressive inside and out these days to say the least.

And here you were just talking about growing your investments...
New vehicles are one of the worst investments.

I know, I know. Believe me the heart overpowered the brain on this one. I keep telling myself it'll be okay because this truck will last you years. And 10k of sticker price should even out the depreciation when driving off the lot.

If my duramax didn't just roll over to 200k I wouldn't consider an upgrade. Damn truck is still like new.

Sadly $10K off is pretty normal anymore with all of the friends and family plans.

Not to fret, we have all bought the new vehicles. It is your money, you just have to decide what to do with it.

To make you feel bad, go look what you can buy a similarly equipped 2011 for with say 40K miles.

Of course there are sometimes when the financing deals really help minimize the impact.

I weighed the options. Everything I found that was reasonable was $38-42k. So I figured what the hell I'll spend a few more bucks or so and with the lower interest rate the payoff was similar. Also have a never driven truck, a full warranty, paint color I wanted, interior color/options I wanted, 5 link rear w/ coils etc.
Wouldn't have minded getting the aisen and 15hp 50ft/lbs, but I wanted the new rear susp. May cry in a year, may not.

I don't think you will ever cry about it. Everyone likes a new truck! I was just giving you a hard time about spending the coin.

Post up some pics!

Granite crystal metallic paint with black interior, sunroof, and every other bell and whistle. Should look something like this.

I'm not a huge fan of the wheels either but they are starting to grow on me. We already put a tonneau cover and power step bars on it. Dad's having a hard time getting used to such a fancy farm truck.

Dealership here at home has that same truck on the lot right now. I took the lady's 13 Durango in for its first oil change today since it's free. I took the truck for a ride while they were doing the oil change. I was more than impressed with how strong it ran. I would say it would run my 12 that's deleted.

My Dad can't get over how well the turbo brake works. Each time it kicks in he laughs like a little school girl.

I might be wrong, but I think the 3500s are still leaf sprung, while the 2500s went coil.
