P2291 Code

The truck is a 08 with 78,000 miles on it. It has a bully dog pmt on it and that is it. It is throwing a P2291 code ( Injector Control Pressure to Low) does anyone know what causes this, also what could I start looking to fix the problem. Thanks,Cody

yes replace the ICP sensor, also check your FICM.

And it is a 6.4 not a 6.0




You may be running out of HPF.

good luck! thats all i can say. honestly there isnt alot you can do. the sensors that monitor that are made on the pump you have to replace the pump in order to get the sensors. also you have a fuel rail pressure sensor which is located on passenger under the valve cover that also montiors the fuel system. so it could be a number of things.

i have a truck in the shop right now that you can start the truck and it will run for a few seconds then it will shut off. and it will set that same code. but it doesnt die everytime you start it just randomly. so that code is very hard to deteremine whats causing it.

It turned out to be all 8 injectors and injection pump they said.
