Older tailgate on 09 250?

Some jackass stole the tailgate off my work truck. We don't really want to pay $600 for a new one. Thinking about a 5th wheel one, but they ain't cheap really. I'm seeing a few old tailgates for a few hundred bucks. I saw the treads about guys putting the newer tailgates on older trucks and replacing the driver side hinge. Would I need to do that too or will the 09 one "work"? What about cables since they took those too? Are all the f series tailgates the same? I saw some for 150s I wasn't sure if they would fit.

Thanks
