Called a local body shop the other day for a quote on a single cab 1/2ton truck, and they said "3300 + under hood + door jams, with no body work" I believe I will be waiting a little longer to get it painted. Got the tranny first

3300 isn't bad depending on current condition of your truck. We are in the process of doing my brothers A4 from grey interior/exterior to Porsche black w/ blue pearl and a all black interior.
If your not afraid of the body work and have some cash you can get the tools and spray it your self. Or at least get all the prep work done to maybe let them double check and spray it. worse part is scuffing the whole truck to take the paint.
