Firepunk UCC Pro Street Build

Looks like the 96/88 turbine. When you went to a bigger manifold charger did you jump to another brand or just bumped compressor size?

I don't think Chris messes with anything other than BW for mid frame chargers. He seems to be pretty fond of them.

I like how the Firepunk crew runs their shop, knowledge, and trucks instead of their mouths. You all are truly one of the positives in this industry right now and I hope like hell you plan on showing up with this pile of parts in Tulsa May 21st. :D

Nicely done, gentlemen. Nicely done indeed.

Trying to determine where to mount the seat for my short little legs.

Fabricating the steering wheel and pedal mounts.

Spaghetti Menders did our wiring harness and I would recommend them to anyone. You fill out an order form with all the circuits you want and they build the boards and switch panels that are all connected with data link connectors that simplifies the wiring process.

We went through Sam Smith @ Carolina Diesel Performance for our Afco Shocks since he runs them on his Pro Street Truck and gave us good direction on what we need to get started.

We fabricated the front Coilover mounts into the roll bar support that came up through the firewall, we also wanted the bar up front to mount our front clip supports to since we cut everything else off.

We decided on solid engine mounts so we can V-band all our intercooler piping with stainless bellows to absorb any movement.

Added the Anti-Roll bar, a ladder bar setup generally does not need one and we ended up taking it off after the first few passes as we felt it was limiting suspension travel. At Rudy's we got a 1.41 60' with it on and a 1.40 60' with it off so we will probably leave it off the back half for now until we get more 60' testing done.

Fitting the Fiberglass doors was a lot easier then we expected, drilled holes to match the OEM mounts and bolted the OEM hardware to it and they fit exceptionally well.

We had to measure and cut our own wheel wells.

Getting the doors and bedsides mounted was pretty straight forward, the front clip on the other hand took 3 full days of work to get mounted/fabricated.

We made an internal aluminum frame for the fiberglass bedside, and welded all-thread to the frame mounts so we can adjust its position in/out and remove the bedsides with the removal of 4 nuts.

The first clip we got was a "PRO" Dodge ram nose and it took a little bit til we figured out it was 9" too long. GTS put a regular clip together for us that had a cowl in it like I originally requested. The "PRO" nose was originally made for the 2WD Puller. Greg @ GTS had forgot he had a mold for a long nose.

The Correct clip looks much better!

If only there was a TV show about building high end diesel performance trucks....#fri

Love the Drag-Sledding aspect of the chassis build.

This truck is really badass, Lavon. You guys have done an incredible job. I cannot remember the debut of another PS truck that was hauling this much ass.

Off to Paint, We had a local shop (Chip's Custom Collision) do the paint work and he did a fantastic job on the bars and body paint.
You can also see how far back we cut the cowl where we can pull the engine and turbo's complete if we want.
