Was cruising through the gram where I found a pretty sick 12 valve owned by Chaz Giles, figured Id post this since compd just seems to be a commonFail infestation as of late.

I am impressed with the air combo, 472 over a 488 according to an Instagram post.

Curious whos injectors and injector pump are on it.

Harts injectors and I cant remember whos pump. Bluegrass diesel built the truck. Saw it at sdx one year.

1993 w250, 215hp pump benched by Seth. 5ks. Hamilton valve springs, colt 181/218 cam, fire ringed head. Airdog 150 at 45psi torktek ofv 6x16 injectors, timing is roughly 30*. S366 soon to have a s475 with it.

This is the 2nd or 3rd strong running truck running the 488 as a primary I've heard of. Makes me wonder if the money I paid for a custom built 485 was worth it, or should I have just went with the box 488sxe.

Ive got a 369/488 on my 12v. Made 1157hp on 27 degrees of timing

Not sure how I just saw this. We did the build. Started out with a S366/S480 combo. He sold them and went to a S472SXE/S488SXE. Truck lost some responsiveness down low but it's a monster up top. Definitely more than a handful on the street. Quick run down of the build...

24v pistons coated, de-lipped, and valve reliefs
Stock 12v head with port work and bigger valves and IR intake
Kenny's billet rods
Custom billet camshaft/DLC coated steel lifters
Harts 5x.025 injectors
13mm pump w/ 903 cam
Waterman fuel supply pump
Nitrous Express N20 kit

Its actually a pretty simple build. The truck is immaculate. 2002 with less than 100K miles.

What's the main reason you went with the 24v pistons and 12v head? Obviously it works!
