Very nice. How do you leave a feature to machine the holes and face flat? Some sort of rough alignment detail?

I built a fixture with drill bushing for the bolt holes and it is used to locate
the fill drain and sight hole, the flat surface is just a fly cut. I didn't use any CnC in this project.
