Results of the ODRA / 5E Diesel Dyno and Sled Pull Saturday 3/14/09

Thanks to everyone who came out and/or participated on our Saturday ODRA / 5E Diesel Dyno and Sled Pulling Day at The Diamond W. Arena in Alvarado, TX. We broke all previous records with over 1700 people that came out to participate and or watch. We appreciate all of you and are grateful to have a opportunity to support your diesel addiction.

Dyno Pull Winners: $500 payout courtesy of NADM and Texas Performance Diesel
ODRA had 57 trucks dyno pull in 3 different classes:

Unlimited Class:
Brody won 1st place with a 716hp and 1190ftlbs. (won $150 cash and a plaque)
Brandon Flaming won 2nd place with a 663.6 and 1418ftlbs. (left early - $50 check is in the mail)

Super Street:
Ryan Hat won 1st place with a 588hp and 970.1ftlbs. (won $100 and a plaque)
Chris Simpson won 2nd place with a 587.5hp and 1221ftlbs. (left early - $50 check is in the mail)

Street Class:
Gordon Jager won 1st place with a 449.9hp and 840.1ftlbs. (left early - $100 check and the plaque is in the mail)
CJ Tannihill won 2nd place with a 449.6hp and 1015ftlbs. (left early - $50 check is in the mail)

Sled Pull Winners: $1000 payout courtesy of NADM
5E Diesel had 39 trucks sled pull in 5 classes:

Work Stock:
1st place went to Preston Collins with a distance of 251.46 (won $100 and a Dr. Performance Module)
2nd place went to C.J. Beckett with a distance of 243.16 (won $100)

True Work Stock:
1st place went to Preston Collins with a distance of 206.72ft (won $100 and Dr. Performance module)
2nd place went to Clayton Watson with a distance of 203.91ft (won $100)

2.6 Class:
1st place went to Gary Wolf with a distance of 214.4ft (won $100 and a FASS setup)
2nd place went to Buck Hyndman with a distance of 208.56ft (won $100)

2.8 Class:
1st place went to Jim Greenway with a distance of 231.65ft (won $100 and a ATS Arc Flow)
2nd place went to Buck Hyndman with a distance of 208.38ft (won $100)

Super Street:
1st place went to Gary Wolf with a distance of 207.44ft (won $100 and a $250 gift certificate from Greg Hougs company)
2nd place went to Ryan Herx with a distance of 192.07ft (won $100)
3rd place went to Body Paschal with a distance of 191.86

this is a video of my first place pull in the 2.6 class

that was a nice pull.

That place needs some industrial size evac fans in the roof!

Did I see tire smoke? Nice.

Jim, you would be AMAZED at the size and number of fans they have- and it isn't enough.

the fans are huge their was like 5 or 6 of them...they were even called "big ass fans"

the fan's are good but they need a roof mounted squirrel cage type fan to pull the smoke out. jmho.

Or a jet engine blowing in one end and out the other! There's not enough air flow at the south end of the building. I was there and as much as I love diesel smoke, black boogers sucks!!!!!!!!!
