Dodge free wheel hubs?

The entity that submitted the editorial to that link could very quickly find themselves in hot water. Regardless the business dealings they had, they do not have authority to take the stance they did.

Sounds like some sharks got involved and doled in some coin amd they didn't get what they wanted out of it.

Funny how they posted the statute for Harrassment / slander and the whole post repeatedly violates the statute.

This goes to a page claiming the Ram man is a fraud.

Just saw his kit on a FB post the other day. Appears as though he use's ford superduty unit bearings and redrill's them for 8x6.5 pattern, and supplies a stub shaft, and lock out hub. I'm sure he's making a pretty penny off of these "kits" at $1700. He doesn't even include the stub shaft u-joint.

I'm still not a huge fan of this unit bearing setup even though its "greasable" last time I researched this you could buy a completely serviceable setup for the same money.

So the question is if he is just redrilling the ford setup, then it should be an easy setup. What I do like about his is they lockouts don't stick way out. To be honest, putting 2 unit bearinga on a front end every 100K miles isn't that bad.

Dan I watched several of his videos yesterday, and he said he was using Timken replacement bearings for the Ford Super Duty.

I agree that every 100K isn't too bad, but I like being able to just replace the bearings and not having to buy the whole thing.

Yea, I am curious if the super duty bearings have a higher weight rating. Yea it would be nice to just buy some bearings/race and go.

Upon searching even more it looks like my thoughts are right. He's using Ford SuperDuty unit bearings, redrilling them to 8x6.5 bolt pattern, and the MileMarker locking hub kits he includes fit multiple setups including 99+ Ford. The only thing I haven't figured out for sure yet is if the stub shaft included is just a stock Ford stub shaft or if any of it is custom. I have a friend who has a Ford SD front axle laying around he's planning on converting his truck to 4wd so when I have time we will tear into it and find out.

Timken SD unit bearings are $173 ea on RockAuto
MileMarker 449 locking hub set is $157 on PartsGeek
Stub shaft yet to be determined $100 to $200 each online

Video of customers install on his youtube channel though uses the same stub shaft U-joint as stock.

You can buy all of the parts needed from Yukon to do a non unit hub and not touch $1700 I'm relatively certain

We installed the spyntec dually free spin kit on the wife's '09 2500. I really liked the way the completed product looked. Installation was straight forward and we had no problems with them once installed.

I don't want to give the company a bad wrap, but, it is what it is. The shoulder for the brake rotor was not machined properly and neither was the shoulder for the wheel. The fella offered to take them back but since this was the only set he had in stock, I opted to make the corrections myself. I had a small sleeve machined to correct the shoulder for the brake rotor. The hub-centric wheel shoulder didn't bother us too much as we used aftermarket wheels with the shank style lugs.

So if I convert my 06 to the ford hubs can I run my stock stub shaft? What confuses me is that his kits for my year include a new stub shaft but in a customers video who installed them on an 06 he uses the stock shafts.
