Nitrous and wastegate

My truck is in sig. S475 with 83 exhaust wheel and 1.10 housing. I have a precision 46mm gate laying around from drag car I can use. Will this be big enough to keep charger alive? I run around 57psi on fuel only without a wastegate currently. How do you set up the wastegate while on fuel only and when you are spraying? I see I can get springs for gate to hold 25psi give or take. Do you use a manual boost controller to hold the rest? Also do you open gate sooner when spraying? I plan on using nitrous express maximizer 5 progressive controller. Any thoughts or insight on spraying a diesel. Thank you

I'd start by monitoring drive pressure. Try to keep the turbo in it's efficiency range by adjusting the wastegate first without nitrous to open at say 55 psi boost (for example), then add your nitrous and adjust accordingly. If the gate states to open roughly at the limits of your fuel only setup, then it should be a good starting point for when you add nitrous. I might even play it safe and start to gate sooner until you have some data.
