Shootin for 1000. Horse that is.

Any reason your so set on 110# springs? I was looking for a set myself and unded up just going with the 165# hamilton.

I really havent gotten the need for that high of seat pressure. Boost is unknown yet, but my rpms with the 14mm pump wont be over 3000 that often for reliability sake. I did see that Industrial Injection makes a set for a 12v at 150# for a very reasonable price.

After a little thought, I dont think I can see dropping 3 G's for a cylinder head. What's your opinions on one of these from PDP.

Id kind of like to get away from my non i/c head. They are prone to cracking between the valves and injector orifices over time.

Just remember that you need to get the charger lit as early as possible with a VE. Their fueling drops off badly as rpm goes up.

Are you building a real 1000 HP monster like this one?

And people give me crap for running a 62mm....when I see 10psi on the boost gauge, it's two stages away as soon as I can hit the switches *nx*

the marine head i had had a bit of material taken out between the valves, i assume this is to help stop them from cracking.. pretty easy fix..

How big were the injector orifices though? Non intercooled heads are 9mm, intercooled and 2nd gens are 7mm. I believe the bigger orifice is what makes them crack over time. But I decided to stick with my guns and go with the Hamilton head. This up coming payday I should have enough play money to get one on the way. Im getting ansy to have this up and atleast running again.

i might talk with Zach about this first.. his port design isn't of conventional design for deisels and leads me to believe as he himself proclaimed early after the release these heads are oriented toward rpm, and not low rpm spoolup.. i havent heard much talk about it. I also cant say much i just bolted mine on today so sooner than later i will know how well it works. I'm just saying Zach will not steer you wrong and its not impossible that a good port job or your stock head with plenty of n2o might be more money wiser spent..
