Id think any decent port job would kill swirl at lower RPM with the change in port volume. I bought a hamilton head awhile back and had reliefs machined to help swirl, as well as running the valve protrusion kinda high to help with low lift flow. Didnt help as much as Id have liked.
Seems the better solution to that would be higher compression pistons or longer stroke, but that depends on the rest of the build and its purpose.
