New here needing some help!

I’ve got an 06 5.9 with a Firepunk stage 2 trans 188/220 cam 100% S&s injectors fleece flow pro 750 2nd gen swap with fleece 463, and efi live tunes. I’ve had a 68, and a 72 both billet and had two different guys tuning the truck. My problem is that the truck is lazy down low the 63 don’t spoil till 1700-2100rpm I’ve talked to a few different people and gotten different answers on why. My question is does anyone have any experience with this problem and a way to fix it before I pull the cam then injectors.

Assuming you don't have any other issue, a looser stall conv makes a huge difference.

Sry forgot to put that in there and no other issues. I’ve tried that also had something like a 23 24ish stall put in with the 72 and just had the trans rebuilt and put a 2000stall in. Thanks for your input I need all the help I can get.

An S400 frame in any size spooling at 1700rpm is not all that terrible.

It doesnt sound like you have a problem to me, if you need something that spools sooner than 1700 I would suggest looking at a small set of compounds.

Ok thanks for y’all a input. I might just be expecting too much I just expect the 63 to not react like the 72 as far as when I hit it truck just sits there smokes for bout 2-300 yards then takes off like crazy. A friend that has a truck with a nice set of twins drove it and experienced the same thing is why I thought there was an issue also.

200-300 yards?! It should be way way before that. I would think more in the ballpark of 100ft.

Post a video if it's really this bad.

That's what I read also, that sounds like a low stall towing converter all day. And the fact it spools at around 1700rpms, get a conv that will flash to 1800rpm and it should solve the problem.

It’s a little faster from a stop but if I’m moving its something like that, I’ll try to get a good video of it. Tho idk how to post it on here. I did talk to a guy from fleece that think it’s the cam my engine builder thinks it could be something with the injectors.

Well... I assumed you meant from a stop. That's not a good way to measure spool-up speed.

300 yards @ 75 mph is 8.18 seconds.
300 yards @ 25 mph is 24.55 seconds.

Just upload the video to youtube, then copy the link here and remove the 's' from 'https'.

What he’s not telling us is the turbine is a 83 wheel in a 1.24 housing. assuming the charger has an appropriate turbine a higher stall converter is where I’d start after making sure you don’t have any boost leaks. Drive pressure to boost are handy data inputs.

It does have an 83 but it’s a .9 housing. Haven’t gotten a video but talk the Hamilton cams and the said it sounds like a 178/208 cam would fix me up. Guess I’ll try that and see what happens.
