The hose end foam cannon from chemical guys is a huge waste. It does not shoot any more foam on my truck then just using a bucket with wal-mart car soap.
Was VERY disappointing....I guess you have to have the pressure washer version to really get the thick foam.

Agreed, I started with a foam gun and was quickly disappointed. Went and bought a $100 pressure washer from lowes and got the foam canon.
The foam canon is the only way to go.

Foam cannons also use a crap ton of high dollar soap as well. I noticed it would take almost two mixing bottles full to soap down my crew cab dodge.

Interesting, I can wash either my QCSB or QCLB with just one bottle each and the mixing valve on the highest foam setting.
Are you using the specified soap at the recommended dilution?

I bought one and I can't get it to foam worth a crap. I've tried both honeydoo and Mr pink. My pressure washer is 2400psi and they say it's enough but it's still just soapy water practically that just runs right off,not foam. You guys have any idea?

I started out with the honeydew small bottle that comes with the "kit" and it lasted 1 car wash of my wife's honda crv and one wash of my crew cab dually.
I was filling up to the "fill" line that is roughly 1" from the bottom of the mixing bottle. Then filling to the second line with water - where it says " water soap mix" . Gently shaking to mix and then attaching to the sprayer.
I had mine set on 0 which I believe is the most foam?
I've got an additional gallon of honeydew and a gallon of some kind of citrus mix. I have been foaming the vehicles down with the honeydew and then bucket washing with the citrus soap.

Sounds like you're using a foam gun and not the Canon..very different.
Even with the gun, you fill it to the mix line with hot water then add 2oz of your soap.
The foam gun sucks IMO, I had one and ditched it after the first wash and got the Canon...and with that I can easily wash my truck with some fluid left to spare. Very different foam quantity.

10.4 I've got a friend who wants to buy my foam gun. I just might give a canon a try.
Most of the time i'm to lazy to break out the pressure washer, that's why I bought the hose end gun.
