5.4 to 6.8 swap?

My 02 f-250 recently started to common "knocking" sound when it starts up and when I let off the gas, has anyone swapped the 5.4 for the 6.8? If so, what all does that entail? And how expensive is it
My ultimate goal is to put a cummins in it, but unfortunately I don't have the funds for it

Thanks!

Save your money. You could probably pay for the cummins on the fuel savings alone if you drive much

You will wonder why you ever put the 6.8 in. They are a pain to get out in one piece, besides you'll be broke for sure with all the gas it will drink.

Don't waste your time. There is a reason my truck does not have one in it anymore.
