Custom Machining Transmission Parts...

So, I was wondering and honestly can't find it anywhere, has anyone ever machined the steels in the transmissions to make custom plate thicknesses? Any article would be helpful.

Yea I've turned a bunch down. And all the firepunk kit come with stock machined plates. I have them turned down by a local machine shop just around the edge like we're the snap ring would go and leave the center of the plate original thickness.

Forgot to mention I'm turning down the reaction or pressure plates not the clutch steels.
