EGR Removal

Does anyone know how to bypass the check engine light code after removing the EGR? I know someone had posted on the edmunds forums that they spliced a wire going into the harness that was hooked up to the EGR. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know the thread is a little old, but we just picked up a CRD Liberty. I've been researching this as well. www.lostkjs.com is a great site for info. Search on the SEGR mod. Of if you want to do it on the cheap and live with a check engine light, simply unplug the MAF sensor.
