Weren't there turbos out there already at that point with a 2.6 and grove intake?

Not saying there wasn't. I know a few years back precision had some problems. But I didnt hear much last year about turbos only lasting a few hooks. I do know that still most super farm guys have "spare" turbos for that reason though.

It would be nice to have a backup turbo but a spare $5500 turbo is not going to happen! To be honest, I don't know that I will ever have one $5500 turbo....

I've been wrong before. But I know that the 3" turbine is used as a "restrictor plate" in super farm. Now with that being said that maybe plenty of turbine for a 400ci engine for a smooth bore class. I know a light limited pro tractor at 540ci and a 3x4 turbo runs a lot stronger than a 640 at 3x3. Once again this is new waters for small cummins. But I think a lot of people will be surprised what happens.

I sure hate to say it, but I said 3 years ago the 3.0 class as we know it will be 2000hp and cut tires soon. Everybody wanted to argue and say no chance.

This class is going to be 1500hp odl. The exact damn class we had 3 years ago. Ppl has screwed everything up, ran numerous of people out of this sport and everybody still swinging from their nut sacks like they are god.

Just because you can run a 3x4 doesn't mean anyone is. Many good running 466ci tractors are in the 3-3.4 turbine range depending on rpm. Also if your within 2:1 drive:boost ratio going to a larger turbine won't increase power just drop drive pressure. Now about these aftermarket cast covers with shop x name on them and billet center sectons. There's a good chance that ir actually lowers the cost to build the turbo but from a looks stand point they can charge more

Does anyone know if the pull in Murfreesboro TN was the new 3.6 turbo rule or the old 3.0 rule? Saw some videos of that pull and the truck ran well just wondering if it was with the new or old chargers.

We stiil have a 4 year old hart's 3.0 hx60. All the "3.0" trucks there were the same. They can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 2.6 trucks still had last year's 2.6 turbos.

With that being said. Idk what the rules will be next year.
With the majority being our usa pullers trucks and us having different rules than everyone idk what next year will be like. We all like the 3.0 smooth bore idea, but everyone's trucks are already gutted

Anyone know if we're allowed to narrow the rear of our frames for the rears?

It says no tube chassis or backhalf conversion right in the rule book so narrowing the frame is possibly illegal. Most of these trucks are trussed from from front to back. A few completely removed the oem frame section behind the rear axle i still dont understand how that is even legal. Im actually curious with these new open driveline rules why guys dont just do a tube chassis truck and bolt a swiss cheesed frame and body to the tube chassis. Its just as or more legal than some of the trucks currently running in these oem frame diesel truck classes.

id find out which truck has the narrowest frame and set it at that.. that way it was a oe option. cant really dispute that. ex. so if its a obs ford at 34", 34" is the narrowest allowed???
