Morning all new to the forum. Have a question. 89 dodge w350 w dually wheels want to convert to single wheel. Are there any options aside from changing the whole axle assembly. Seems to me shorter shaft and hubs would accomplish this but not finding any.

On a chevy frt Dana 60 axle, they were the same other than the hubs.

I'd assume the dodge Dana 60's of that Era are the same also.

Isn’t the first gen dually axle around 10” wider than a srw? Just gonna need to find a srw assembly and sell yours.

Cutting the housing down and all that sounds a lot more expensive.

Welcome to CompD.

I can tell you when I built my chevy kingpin 60, which started as dually front hubs' it was pain in butt.

Couldn't find new hubs. Had to machine mine and find new studs. I have full write up on it here if needed.

Welcome!! Fellow 89 owner here! I love the unique dash ours has compared to the other 1st gens.
