What's wrong with removing the rubber, trimming the handle, then replacing the rubber?

I had that one laying around, and it got the handle of the valve out away from the sump.

Napa has Line crimp plyers they wont damage the line. crimp it close to the sump install your ball valve after it. then you could use your ball valve to drain

Might work for temporary to drain the tank but not for long term.

Mount the valve the other way, and remove the handle. I imagine I would remove the handle and keep it in the truck anyway.

This is what I used when I had to disconnect my airdog last. Works great. Just a little spill from where you crimped to the end of the line. Heck, even the flat style welding vise grips. Used those before too. In a pinch.

when I'm on E for 50 miles or so, I can hit the brakes from a highway speed to stop and fuel pressure drops.

Cool ideas. I guess you could use a short piece of hose to get your ball valve tucked into the frame if you don't want it hangin' down.
