3.0 ecodiesel Jeep Grand Cherokee

ROSKOE115

SLICKER THAN A FRESH BASS
Who else has one? Thoughts, trim package, suspension, mileage, pictures, problems? I'd like to hear it.

The old man has a summit model. Awesome little truck gets 1200km's a tank doing 120kph. Rides as nice as his 2011 Lexus ls460 and it is reasonably quiet for a diesel. No problems to date just under a year old. Seems to have a little to much turbo lag off the start but other than that it has plenty of power.

The lag seems to be computer drivin for sure. I've already had the cel for code P20EE come on with 6800 miles on it for the DPF DEF issue but it cleared itself and never acted up 600 miles later. What I've researched, it may not be to good so hopefully it stays gone for a while.

My father had one, brand new grand cherokee loaded and all that good stuff. Long story short they lemon lawed it. SCR system kept crystalizing and the manufactures ran numerous tests on it with no solution to issue. My dad loved it, great gas milage, good power, but just kept throwing codes.

If it does reset p20ee, there is a revised scr catalyst that was released late novemeber that should take care of it. Also need the verify pcm is up to date. I have also seen a few issues with the DEF that was shipped in the vehicle from the factory. After a full tank has been ran through a lot of issues and dtcs were resolved.

My wife and I test drove one. I didn't like it, way to much lag. We ended up going with the Overland with the hemi.

It keeps setting off the P20EE code but goes away after doing 80 for a while and putting millage and starting revolutions. Dealer is being a pain in the ass. Living where industrial work has ruined everything around you sucks.

Mine is a Summit because I wanted the better radio. 9000+ miles so far and I love it. No issues so far. I see an average of 26 to 28 MPG with straight #2 fuel and slightly less with the winter blend. I don't have a lag complaint. I bought it for comfort and mileage and I am trying my best to keep it all stock.

It is Eric, a tab has been released but getting a dealer to work with someone is a joke.

I have a limited that I can't wait to get rid of the SCR and DPF. Tuning can't come soon enough. Its slower than my 08 WK CRD so it's almost not as fun to drive, but the new car smell is nice.

Yep. I may have missed a few but to my know lags: Blue Spark, TS perf, Banks, Area Diesel, AFE, Edge (soon), Chip Express, Steinbauer, all have plug in tuners. BD, JMS, & Sprint booster make throttle sensitivity boosters among others but that is all they offer. PPEI, Celtic Tuning, Green diesel perf, and duramax tuner (soon) offer ECM re flashing/swap and the most performance potential to date.

The wife and I just got back from test driving one. Hopped on here hoping there was a thread already started. We found a salesman we actually like, and he didn't have the color I want, so he's looking for one for us. Wife wants to buy the Altitude because it's cheaper ($13000 difference when ordering one) with most of the same extras but I like how the Overland rides and the mileage the diesel is supposed to get. Thought it was pretty peppy and got up pretty good though. I was fairly impressed.

Well we picked up a '15 Altitude. Not diesel but still nice. I know it's not diesel related but anyone have a '15 GC that can answer a question? I think the $500+ for navi is insane, any way to do this myself? Not sure what all is entailed, GPS cd or what, but I was going to go take the radio out and see if the gps cord is even plugged in and the wife yelled at me not to mess with a vehicle that has less than 100mi on it hahaha. Figured I would start here.
