The ac condenser fits in perfect, the Trans cooler is supposed to fit fine as well, they used the factory measurements for all the mounting brackets, they said with the bar and plate design you may actually lose a minimal amount of boost like 1 psi, but the cooling effects are completely worth the gain, the ic literally brought temps to ambient temp every single time and never heat soaked.

has anybody taken the time to pressure test these aftermarket intercoolers when they recieve them? i purchased a on3 intercooler, tested it , had some small leaks. on3 said they would replace it at no charge, the owner let me pressure test the replacement in his shop when i drove up to exchange it(2 hour drive), it had some small leaks also, he then offered me a cash refund because he had no more inventory. i took a gamble and put it on my truck anyway. seems to be a huge improvement over stock on my truck(pulling application). my reason for asking.. are these high end intercoolers 100% leak free or do they fall victim to small leaks also?? i can say the on3 intercooler at $525 may have been the best upgrade to my truck so far dollar for dollar performance wise, other than full cut DVs

I'm interested to see the egt and boost differences the intercooler makes for your truck, I would say it should lower both. I hope it works out well.

Il try to drive mine and get some solid numbers before swapping it out. I don't watch my egt gauge normally, so il have to pay more attention. Lol.
I can also pressure test my whole system once I get it installed. I was close to getting an ON3 since they are like 45min from me, but when the guy said he wouldnt discount it even if I picked it up(normally free shipping built into the price) I was a little aggravated. I also already have good boots for the factory size cooler and just didn't feel like messing with getting new ones.
It is supposed to be here Tuesday and il put a couple pics up of it

To answer the pressure test question...I installed a spearco in a pull truck and tested it. I was surprised to find two small leaks on the end tanks.

i believe thats where mine was leaking(3 or 4 places),i personally thought it should be 100% leak free, figured you get what you pay for and that the more expensive ones would not leak. i should clarify there was really no hissing noise at 45lb just leaks i was able to find with soapy water. seems to work just fine and im happy with it at the price point. im sure the mishimoto will be as good or better, both seem to have similar core sizes,on3 3"core 17.75"x36" 3" in/out..mishi 3"core 16.65x36" 3.66"in/out. both with cast end tanks.mishimoto appears to be of better build quality tho. anyways hope your happy with it ,and if you could pressure test it before you install it, its easier to find the not so obvious leaks. hope you dont have any!!

No Kidding! tracking number said like 66lbs. I was surprised. So much for losing weight up front

after looking at the picture of the mishi intercooler i am surprised to see the inlet and outlet are somewhat restricted like the factory ones, must be to retain factory sized boots, location , and intercooler piping. other than that it looks like a pretty solid ,nice unit.

Post #35 in the thread linked in the first post here talks a bit about the inlet/outlet. They did address the flow a bit while keeping it close to stock fitment.
You're right though, in the photos it still looks like it would flow poorly.

after looking at the write up on cummins forum, post 35, looking at the pictures of the mishi(never seeing one in person). my opinion is the mishi could very well be better built and definately kills the on3 with their lifetime warranty, but i dont see the mishi outperforming the on3 performance wise. now the mishi retaining factory location and boot size is probably important to alot of people and a good selling point. both good units IMO

I agree, I would be lying if I said I haven't taken a close look at the On3 cooler once or twice.

Went in pretty easy. Very minimal bending of the inner fenders needed. Seems like a stout unit. Didn't get to do any real strong runs in since the roads were wet.
