ceramic/ceramic questions?

why isn't the ceramic/ceramic facing recommended for towing? flywheel wear, or doesn't engage smoothly? how do they do on the street, is it driveable or just too grabby?

driveable yes i had a ceramic/ceramic valair 3400 plate load and it was an great single disk clutch this is more for a play truck but i did tow with mine its the badest of badest single disk you can get on the market. the only way to get better holding power is go with a DD

if your looking for a fun clutch and dont plan on towing alot then this is the clutch for you mind its a little crabby but all you have to do is give alittle more throttle and you cant even tell.

no boost launches but 2nd gear dumbing the clutch its a great ride

i am planning on getting my single ceramic/ceramic rebuilt and use it for tug of war

i run valair and push valair the treat me well and i treat them well

yeah I'm just wondering exactly why its not recommend for towing, I tow an 18ft trailer with a scout on 1tons to go wheelin, and other things now and then.

the well that because there is very little slippage with the ceramic. i towed a 2 horse slant didnt have really any trouble just had to back up in low range

have dan pm on his new DD also good price and made for towing and high hp little easier to back up

Just get the wellman super button, call dan and tell him, he'll know what your talking about. I ran them in my truck along with many other that i have tried from valair, liked the cer-cer wellman super button the best.
