CA Courtesy Letter

Hey Guys,

Haven't posted in a long while... done the search. How are you guys handling the Smoking Vehicle Response Forms in CA? I think my last one was about 10 years ago and I just replied that I had made repairs. End of issue. I recently received another in the mail and was looking for others experience.

I don't want to hear the lecture about tuning my motor.... believe me when I say that my tune is under control... lol. That being said if someone felt my wrath then they were obviously on my ars** for some reason only known to them.

Thanks!

When I got my letter a few years ago it said the response was voluntary. I’m not sure if anything has changed with everything going on with the EPA or not but I’d read everything very thoroughly. If a response isn’t mandatory then I wouldn’t send it back.

There is the option of stating that your vehicle is not smoking and no further info is required... always suspect of CA intentions! Just didn't want to invite myself to a board party...
