Looks really nice!

What engine is in that Case 586c? I looked at one last winter and passed on it due to unknown issues, and I think it was stolen. Price was cheap though.

Why do folks in the north build post frame shops? Wood post, wood truss, wood purlins. And in the south, pre fab metal buildings are king.

Is it something with the snow? Or ease of working with wood over steel? It seems like once you cross into Kansas, post frame takes over. South of there is metal frame.

I’ve asked this before on here, just curious.

My shop is a wood post frame because of cost. It was considerably cheaper for me at the time (2019) to build it out of wood rather than steel. I'm located in SW Ohio.

Well there are a good bit of steel manufactures around here in the south that I know of.
My building is all wood because of the cost steel was lil cheaper but the labor to erect it was stupid high. Also by the time i covered everything in my shop with Sheetmetal its didn't matter of the Structure.
All these z purlins were scrapped due to some lil imperfection. I didn't want to build much of the lean too out of wood for termites and wood rot being exposed. Another reason for no wood in the ground on my main shop everything is bolted to the concrete but 3 lil post should be fine

I like that idea. Make sure you put in some kind of bridging/bracing to keep them from rolling. Factory would be knock in bracing but that's when they're installed at 4' on center. I would think a row or two of metal studs cut and clipped in would suffice.

Something like the blocking shown here:

My Dream Shop 48x100

I spy a new CompD surfing location.

I see a floor joist right above the door. Did you intentionally leave out the jack studs for the door header?

Well, lets just say i didn't build my door ways how they are suppose to. Definitely not a framer by trade. I was also planning on using smaller doors but I didn't.

What size gas line?

Do you have natural gas out there? Or have a propane tank?
