They're deadened and the cavity is stuffed with polyfill...they probably weigh 10 lbs each so they're pretty solid.
 
Got rid of it...just didnt make the cut for the remodel.
Is in a friends slammed 2 door Tahoe that has every belt part made inside it.
 
The mat is staying.
I don't particularly like it, it's a concession to good sound though. With the mids and tweeters on the pillars I need to kill some of the reflections off the dash.
I'm swapping my leather interior for cloth for the same reason.
 
All midbasses, midranges and tweeters will be wired with 12 gauge Monster Cable wire, Sub will be wired with 8 gauge.
It's overkill but it looks nice.
 
I use a Clarion DRZ9255
Why? Simply because it's well regarded as one of the top 5 ever made.
It's specs and abilities are only matched by a select few head units.
I wanted the best...and I've always been a fan of Clarion so it was my first choice even over the new Pioneer P99RS.

Just two 950CCA gel batteries and a stock 160 amp alternator.
I use JL amps with regulated power supplies so they're not real power hungry.

ahhhhh.... the old addzest....nice!

but if you were going to purchase a new one....what brand do you think is best? they have all changed so much over the years
