I cant see anything with external welds like that surviving in a harsh environment. Even if you get the welds perfect there is still stress. There's a reason the Intraax design came out.

Well most of the issues are people caring more about empty weight vs strength. Care more about the potential of making $.03 more per load that totally gets burnt with one repair.

Who cares if it wont last?

Speaking of lasting, was under my trailer today. Haven't greased it in months so I wanted to have a close look to see if I done goofed. The s-cam has a dust boot of sorts between the slack and s-cam tunnel. So I cleaned them off completely before greasing so I could see exactly what I was dealing with. Sad to say it did take about 10 pumps before grease started coming out, but it was completely clean! Not bad for a 5 year old trailer. The s-cams are absolutely tight.

I love this Schaeffers grease.

Sarcasm is wasted on text.

I hadn't seen any of the combination coil wagons with the 5th wheel until you guys post that picture a week or so ago, and yesterday I passed two KW and a Pete headed north on 65 pulling them.

Any pictures of them with the trailing wagon on?

A little help if you would guys.

1994 Western Star
Told it was a C7 but its so freaking nasty I can't prove that yet. Mechanical inline pump on the passenger side looks like a P7100's bigger brother.
Replaced the fuel shutoff solenoid because the hot post was stripped.
Picks and chooses when it wants to idle.
Come in first thing in the morning and start it up with one required tap of the throttle and it may idle for an hour it may idle for 30 minutes and cut itself off.
Take it down the road get some heat in it and it will idle any time you stop.
BUT… get to a jobsite and unload let it cool down a little and it will not idle when you get ready to leave. Can make turning around quite a PITA because its got floater fronts and doesn't turn sharp and I get into some tight places.
Get a mile down the road and all is well again and it idles just fine at any red light or stop sign.

Sold it a few years ago, no one ever pulled it. It’s been sold 3 times since.

It is definitely not a C7 being a 94, you sure it’s not a 3406b?? The only small mechanical motor would be the 3116 which is a pile.
