Damnit. Looks slick. The temptation keeps lingering in my head to perform the same swap.

Thanks

Yeah cant wait to get it out and see how it runs. Definetely snappier than the worn out VE. May have to step down in injector (6x13)

Couple more pics. Used a cam retainer which made it a piece of cake to pull the gear back on. Set pump at 21*

Amazing what a healthy benched pump runs like! Quite a different animal than the VE

You bought adaptors to use P-Pump lines on your VE injectors correct?

Upgraded single or compounds? What’s the specs on that snail? Plan to bump up the fuel now?

Your truck has come a long ways. I’ll eventually follow down the same rabbit hole. P-pump, compounds, and NV4500 one day. Making some useable power that can reliable be placed to the pavement.

Planning on compounds with the HE351cw

Turbo is a borg 171701 - S471/96/1.32 got it for $250 nib!

As far as fueling, ill turn it up some more once i get studs in, not very faithful in the shcs i used. Pump was benched at 340cc max with stock dvs/rack plug, and is set at 280cc currently. It actually runs way cleaner than the VE did, with a whole lot more top end.

Yeah it has come a long way since yanking it out of a field. Long way to go, although its a fairly comfortable DD now.

Now to pick away at everything while keeping it running enough to plow my driveway

Thanks man. Didnt put a fuel pressure gauge on but it runs like a scalded dog so that pump you sent must be working

Made up a discharge flange from an old hydraulic cylinder bearing

Flipped the manifold in prep for the compounds, made a wastegate bracket to bolt onto comp cover, set the 471 in there and dreamed.

351 all set. Hotpipe support bracket started. Should be able to get a rough setup of piping this weekend.

I had welded in a bung for primary drain when i had the engine out last.
