What wax do you use?

The latest I've tried is the Meguiers NXT....It was pretty good....I have thought about getting Zaino but I've heard there are alot of steps with it.

Unbelievably the best i've ever used is Collinite #845. Have tried all the popular names and alot more expensive brands. But you have to give a old company a try. I look for longevity, and rain repelling and spots. After the 3rd coat on a new F-350. White. I'm amazed how long it last, and no water spots after it rain's. The best isn't always the most expensive...Also used it on my 2003 F250. And my son's Grey 2007 F150. Neat product.Just my worth...Steve

I use meguires no. 26 yellow wax along with meguires no.7 show car glaze. It makes the paint on my truck look very deep. Both are liquids. I've also had good luck with Mother Pure carnuba paste wax, it is a pain to work with but it gives great results

Check out [url]www.properautocare.com Read some of their stories. For premium products come of course premium prices. I prefer Blackfire or Menzerna(German) products from this company. The have no shipping on orders placed now. And as far as longevity both of the above are doing pretty much the same. Both brands in their store complement each other instead of talking bad about the other brands. And they have posted stories of mixing several different products to achieve the same results and save me some $$$....Steve

I have tried and used many different waxes along the way seeking the deepest shine and the wettest look.In that quest I have given away more bottles of wax than I can count due to the waxes failure to stand up to the elements and my test area.See,I have the perfect test bed at work and when I need to test something its done there on my work truck.I wax the entire hood and nose area and drive the big rig as I normally do.During that time I watch to see how the finish holds up to Mother Nature and to our drive through wash bay.Finding a wax that the bugs do not stick hard to and does not remove itself during the wash rack trips is the goal,many have been tried and few have been successful.

It was in those attempts that I came across a gem of wax and I still use it today.After I claybar my truck I use a wax called UV2 .4 micron show glaze and then use a quick detailer at shows to keep the dust off.I also am one who uses the UV2 .8 micron wax right after winter and the first round of the claybar,then apply the .4 micron when done.It sounds like alot of work but my old street truck has a wall full of awards from this wax.There are times when my truck sits in the sun the Flame Red will punish your eyes.

and you can layer them both.... especially the AIO. If youre using OTS stuff and try BWW, Zaino, Klasse, etc youll be impressed for sure!

I use all Pinnacle & Menzerna Products ...

Applied with a UDM (Ultimate Detailing Machine) With Lake Country CCS Smart Pads ....

Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo,Dry,Pinnacle Poly-Clay,Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover(If any marks/micro-marring/oxidation) or Menz Intensive polish/ Followed by Pinnacle Finishing Polish or Menz Final Polish, Followed by Pinnacle Solouvern Wax ...

But I have a detailing busness on the side ... so ...

Used meguiar's NXT Tech Wax this weekend. Went on easy, wiped off easy, real nice shine and real slippery. We'll see how long it lasts.

I agree Collinite's #845 insulator wax has been the longest lasting wax I have used . This is not the easiest wax to use but the results are worth it best removed with a microfiber cloth imo.

Everything needs to be removed with Mircro Fiber ... a good quality micro fiber is the key though ... I use Cobra Micro Fiber ... One of the best that there is.

I started using microfibers cloths about a year ago and now I swear by them. Wax comes off some much easier and seem better for the paint.

As long as there quality ... If not ... they can/will cause light swirls, and mirco-marring. Look for 100% Micro Fiber which is 70% Polyester & 30% Polyamide

I won't wax without a microfiber towel these days. God I love those things. Makes taking the wax off sooooo much easier.

Meguiars three step followed by NXT. It's like waxing your truck 4 times, but it makes the paint feel like new and gives a really deep shine with the NXT on top of it.

i use diamond 55 on my truck for a cleaner wax and then i use yellow wax to seal it. the diamond 55 gets rid of any swerl marks you might have and then the yellow wax shines and seals and it last for a while. i tend to wax my truck atleast once a month so i cant tell you exactly how long it lasts.

I use California Customs M-Ron Glass. On my old 97 its the only thing I could get to keep the shine. I still use it on my 2000 its very easy to apply and even if you leave it set out in the sun while your waxing it it still wipes right off. It is a little pricy but its a really good product.

try some of that new turtle wax ICE it comes with a applicator pad and a micro-fiber cloth
i waxed a black truck of mine last night with it and it looks like the day it came out of the body shop
