Fixing faded paint

Pulled the badges off my truck and the paint is faded worse than I thought. Anyway to blend it in before I go through the task of putting the badges back on one, individual, letter at a time.

People will say to buff, use a compound, etc....But I have found nothing will help. My truck is red, red fades pretty bad so mine might be worse than yours.

Mines red as well. Paint looks almost maroon compared to where the badges used to be.

My red mega cab had bad ghosting. Flame red is the worst when it comes to that
