AN or JIC fittings are best. Barbed fittings with good hose clamps.

Someone else probably chime in on a different solution to your fitting problem but I've always used parker push-lok on my junk.

O.P. With a healthy lift pump I find it hard to believe there is a suction Side problem. I don't know much about those voodoo pee pumps, but any chance any ofyour performance parts cam cause your issue?

I was told the tork tek ofvs are junk, I have a stock one I could put on. I was also thinking the dv o rings could be bad looked like they were leaking, I'm not to familiar with p pumps yet either lol, I'm having a hard time tuning it lol, totally different than my old ve lol
