89-93, leaf sprung front axle, no CAD, fully mechanical engine, very little electrical, good mpg, and a somewhat comfortable interior

It's only comfortable if you get an ext cab 92-93 with captains chairs. Trust me, I've pwned 3.
 
But the itch to fail for a vp is like the itch that crack ***** always has to go back to her game... It'll never leave.
 
idk I've put my truck through hell with heavy loads and only went through a couple stock turbos, no vp problems
 
Heavy loads doesn't have jack to do with electrical and/or mechanical vp failure.

Most electrical issues i've had were no fault of the factory.
 
I would say 94-98 are the best trucks. But if you want a little bettter ride i would say the 06 CR are good too.
