Oliver 1850

Hello all , I am new to the site and would appreciate any info I can get . I have an Oliver 1850 with the Perkins 354 diesel . I am looking to add some horsepower and want to know thoughts and ideas . I have seen all the discussions and they always end up discussing transplanting a Cummins . That isn’t an option because I have to maintain a stock appearing block and components , can’t add turbo because not originally equipped . Ideally would like to gain 50 more ponies but know that would probably be stretching it . Thanks for any advice

Welcome.
Since you're in a stock appearing class. You are mostly limited to internal modifications. That's what makes the stock appearing class expensive.
Are you RPM limited also?

Most of the pulls are 3000 max rpm
Sometimes it’s 20% over

Southwestern Pa. is a great place to be located, although I'm slightly biased. I'm up near Indiana Pa.

I think that has a CAV injection pump on it, right? ...and the Perkins is a 6-354?
